Afternoon Tea

$30.00 per person

Afternoon Tea is available at our new location, the Queen’s Cuisine Tea Room, in Edwardsville, IL, on the second Sunday of every month with seating’s from 12.00 noon till 3 pm. Afternoon teas are also available every Friday and Saturday after 1pm. A reservation is required for all afternoon tea dates. Please call  618.205.6188 or click this link to reserve a table. Please note that you would like Afternoon Tea when making your reservation.

Our Afternoon Tea is served on a three-tiered tray with each tier offering a deliciously prepared course. Start your taste buds off with the bottom, savory tier, by indulging in an array of sandwiches and sausage rolls. Next, move on to the second layer of freshly prepared scones, which are served with clotted cream and preserves. The final course is a selection of three dessert items that are made in house from scratch. Continuing the British tradition, a pot of freshly brewed loose leaf tea will be served; we have over 20 varieties to choose from.


Lunch, Cakes and Pastries

Lunch is served every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am with last orders taken at 3pm, we close at 4pm. Hot and cold beverages, freshly baked scones, cakes and pastries are also available.

Cup of Fresh Fruit Salad; fresh orange segments, grapes and apples in a fruit stock

Mave’s Quiche Lorraine
Made using Jane’s Mum’s recipe of homemade pie crust with bacon, onion and cheese.

Vegetable Quiche
Made with onion, cheese and seasonal vegetables. Please note, locally-sourced lard is used in the homemade pie crust.

Coronation Chicken Sandwich
This British cousin to American chicken salad was created for and served at the banquet for Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation in 1953. Roasted chicken breast is tossed in curry-flavored mayonnaise with raisins and a hint of apricot, served in a warmed croissant.

Cornish Pasty   11.00 (includes a side)
Beef, potato and onion encased in our house-made pie pastry. It was originally enjoyed for lunch by miners in Cornwall.

Cheese and Onion Pasty  10.00 (includes a side)
Sharp cheddar cheese and onions encased in our house made pie pastry. Please note, locally sourced lard is used in the home made pie crust.

Oven-roasted chicken breast, grapes, celery and a little onion tossed in seasoned mayonnaise, served in a warmed croissant.
