The Queen’s Cuisine was founded in 2007 by owner, Jane Muscroft. Chasing her childhood dream of owning a bed and breakfast off the coast of England, she brought her British culinary expertise to Goshen Market in Edwardsville, IL. Two years later she began showing St. Louis what she’s made of by selling her English goods at the Tower Grove Farmers Market. As time passed, Queen’s Cuisine grew, and a once quiet, simple Jane, became known as the Scone Lady – which we think is rather fitting. The markets weren’t enough for Jane as she taught cooking lessons, catered for events and hosted afternoon teas every month for the cherished English-lovers of America. Seven employees, one van (George) and thousands of scones later, we decided it was time to invest in an actual location.
120 S. Main Street in Edwardsville, Illinois is now the home of Queen’s Cuisine Tea Room. We’re excited to see what the future has in store for us. We want to thank each and every one of you for helping us get where we are today. Thanks for loving tea and scones and for letting us bring them into your lives.
